Today, 9 Aug, is Singapore’s 59th National Day! Every year on this day, we celebrate our progress and strength in diversity, and renew our commitment to Singapore.
This year’s theme, “Together, As One United People” highlights the collective strength of Singaporeans and underscores the importance of every citizen rallying together to share our future and uplift those around us. The NDP 2024 showcases our ability and will to defend ourselves, our preparedness to deal with disruptions and crises, as well as inspire a shared future for a better Singapore.
Singaporeans can look forward to the National Day Parade celebrations at the Padang and Promontory @ Marina Bay, and festivities at the heartlands. In addition, we can participate in #GiveAsOneSG activities to give back to the society or #TogetherAsOneSG activities such as flying our flag and eating together to commemorate this special occasion.
