Pulau Ujong

Have you ever noticed that photos taken locally on your phones are sometimes
geotagged to Pulau Ujong? That’s because Singapore has 64 islands, and
before the main island was called Temasek and Singapura, it was first known
as Pulau Ujong.
The name comes from one of the earliest reference to Singapore, a 3rd
century Chinese text. Since then, we’ve had many names as we evolved. Today,
as we look around, where are the pockets of spaces where we might still
find traces of Pulau Ujong?
