At just 17 years young, Team Singapore's Sofia Anabel Rivas won the gold medal for jiu-jitsu at the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain on 29 October 2025.

Indeed, at just 17 years young, Team Singapore's Sofia Anabel Rivas proved them right, bringing home the gold medal for jiu-jitsu at the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain on 29 October. After a series of close calls, Sofia, through her composure and determination, finally secured the dramatic victory against Kazakhstan.
