When June, a dancer with Down syndrome, shared her sadness over not being able to perform at venues like the Esplanade, professional dancer Kavitha didn't just listen, she acted.
Instead of creating a space for differently-abled dancers, Kavitha built one with them.
Today, Diverse Abilities Dance Collective unites artists across a spectrum of abilities - from the neurotypical to those with autism and global developmental delay. Bound by a shared love for dance and expression, they show what it means when one sees beyond differences.
