On this day 12 years ago, Singapore pushed for the UN Resolution to make official World Toilet Day!

Hold and slide your fingers along the dots in this post to do some cleaning!
Skibidi toilet may be out of trend, but having clean toilets will never be. Singapore should know. After all, we were the ones who pushed for the UN Resolution 12 years ago to make it the official World Toilet Day today!
This initiative was led by Mr Jack Sim, aka ‘Mr Toilet’, a Singaporean philanthropist who founded the World Toilet Organisation back in 2001. Since then, Singapore has continued to make sanitation an important part of our environment. In 2024, the Public Toilets Taskforce (PTTF) was established to improve the cleanliness of public toilets. After all, clean toilets are fundamental for public health. But more than that, sparkly toilets also show us that we are a gracious and civic-minded nation.
So the next time we’re done with our bio break… let’s AIM to do better. Pee-lease remember to flush! 😉
